Strawberry Blonde

Fun fact: I painted this on paper, then spent at least an hour editing it on photoshop to get rid of those irritating marks that form when you get paper wet. Dissatisfied with the amount of negative space that was left over, I then crinkled, ironed, and scanned a piece of white paper to add a paper texture back in. Cleary, I'm not compulsive. Not at all.

Her name is Haven Avery, and this drawing is so off-model it's not even funny. The project I'm working on for her is heavily inspired by magical girl anime style, so most of my sketches of her are still working out her character design and how to merge it with the heavily stylized anime influence. Expect her to look MUCH DIFFERENT next time you see her. Also, Haven was originally supposed to have pale platinum blonde hair, so the one person on DA who has heard of her before may be a bit surprized, but I dedcided that strawberry blonde would be a nice destictive touch which allows me to utilize her red and gold colour scheme... And also, I love any variation of redish hair.
